Biography

 

Jeff Harris, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, educated in Cincinnati Public Schools.  Graduated from Walnut Hills College Prep High School and attended the University Of Cincinnati College Of Applied Science majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  Work experience includes Proctor and Gamble -Co-op Student, Mechanical Engineering Technologies – Draftsman, Thompson, Hall and Jordan Funeral Services- Funeral Services Representative, Overhead Door Company-Draftsman, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center      and TriHealth, Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati - Grant Service Provider, Cincinnati Fire Department -Fire Fighter, Inspector and Emergency Medical Technician.  Jeff has served as EOD Technician and as a Recruiter for the Cincinnati Fire Department.

Jeff has been a member of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters since 1985. In 1986 Jeff became the Public Relations Director of the Cincinnati African-American Firefighters Association (CAFA).  Subsequently he has served as Secretary, Vice President and served as President of CAFA from 1999-2003.  He also served as Corresponding Secretary, Vice Director and served as Director of the North Central Region of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters (IABPFF) from 2002-2005. In addition to serving as Executive Director of the IABPFF, Mr. Harris is also the Meeting Planner.

Jeff is married and father of two daughters and a son.
